The first idea competition for students took place in 2016. It was launched in October 2016 and students were offered a four-week period for submitting ideas and innovation for the UAS BFI Vienna. The competition was advertised through the UAS website, mailings, and posters, on Moodle and through social media. Alumni/ae and incoming students were also invited to participate. 50 ideas were assessed anonymously by a 12-member jury (of which six were student representatives). The top three ideas were presented at the PIT-project vernissage on January 11th, 2017.
